UP's Active COVID-19 Cases Down By 62.5% Since April 30, Says Official: Report

COVID-19 Uttar Pradesh: "The recovery rate of the state is improving. It is now 91.8 per cent. The active cases in the state in past 20 days have come down by 62.5 per cent," Aditional Chief Secretary, Health, Amit Mohan Prasad said.
The Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday said the number of active COVID-19 cases in the state has come down by over 62 per cent since its peak on April 30. The state in the past 24 hours has recorded 238 fresh deaths, which took the total count to 18,590, while 6,725 new cases pushed the tally to 16,51,532, Aditional Chief Secretary, Health, Amit Mohan Prasad, told reporters. In the same time period, 13,590 people recovered from the disease, the official said. "The recovery rate of the state is improving. It is now 91.8 per cent.
