Gaza: Spokesperson for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) Adnan Abu Hasna lauded Qatar's significant and vital role in supporting the Agency.

Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), he emphasized that Qatar was one of the first countries to respond humanitarianly before and after the ceasefire in Gaza. He also noted the substantial increase in Qatari aid on various levels following the ceasefire agreement, highlighting the high appreciation for this significant role.

Abu Hasna stated that Qatar is among the most important supporters of UNRWA, through signing several cooperation agreements with Qatari institutions, reflecting Qatar's appreciation and understanding of UNRWA's vital work in Gaza.

He affirmed that UNRWA continues its operations in Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem, stressing that halting the Agency's work in Gaza, for instance, would mean the cessation of essential services, which is unacceptable and unimaginable at any level.

Abu Hasna described the humanitarian situation in Gaza as dire, noting that the humanitarian aid received so far does not exceed 10,000 trucks, which is merely a drop in the ocean of Gaza's vast humanitarian needs, especially in terms of food supplies.
