Union minister Narayan Rane's son gets flak for 'homophobic remark', LGBTQ community seeks apology
India Today
Nitesh Rane, on Saturday, tweeted an image of Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray and his Yuva Sena associate and allegedly passed a homophobic remark.
The LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) community is miffed by a statement by Union Minister Narayan Rane’s son and former MP, Nilesh Rane. Deeming the statement as 'homophobic' and one that would hurt sentiments of the community, LGBTQ rights activist Ashok Rao Kavi has demanded an apology from Rane.
The development holds relevance as Nitesh Rane, on Saturday, tweeted an image of Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray and his Yuva Sena associate Rahul Kanal together and commented, "Daughter-in-law is not available, so the son-in-law is being searched for."

Earlier on Friday, Nilesh's brother, and MLA Nitesh Rane shared a similar tweet after the Bombay High Court ruling allowing Shiv Sena's Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park, led by Uddhav Thackeray.
“You are so happy that you have got permission to hold a rally. I thought they were celebrating because Aditya has decided to marry a girl," he had tweeted.
