
UN appeals for $4 billion in aid as Syrian humanitarian crisis deepens

A U.N. humanitarian official has appealed for over $4 billion in aid to assist more than 10 million Syrians in an effort to address the ongoing crisis impacting civilians.
"Today, we are facing an unprecedented situation in Syria -- one that we cannot afford to ignore," Abdelmoula told reporters in Geneva. "Inaction will be costly for all of us and will inevitably lead to additional suffering."
