Banned United Liberation Front of Asom Independent (ULFA-I) released Ritul Saikia, an employee of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), who was abducted from Assam’s Sivasagar district last month. Ritul Saikia was released after Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma appealed to the outfit and its chief Paresh Baruah to release the abducted ONGC employee. According to reports, the abducted ONGC employee was released by ULFA-I on Saturday morning in Longwa village, Mon district, along the Nagaland-Myanmar border.
