UK reports 71 new cases of Monkeypox

UK health authorities announced the registration of 71 new cases of people infected with the monkeypox virus, bringing the number of infected cases recorded so far in the country to 179.

Director of monkeypox strategic response at the UK Health Security Agency Ruth Melton said that the risk of the disease spreading among the population is still low, but she advised citizens to be careful, especially when skin rashes or wounds appear on the body.
The UK Health Security Agency advised those infected with the infection and their contacts to isolate themselves at home for a period of twenty-one days and to completely stay away from contact with any other people until the rash and wounds disappear.
