UK-owned ship struck by Houthis sinks, first vessel lost during war
Fox News
A U.K.-owned cargo ship targeted by Iran-backed Houthi missiles nearly two weeks ago has finally sunk, making it the first vessel to be lost since the onset of the Israel war with Hamas.
Michael Dorgan is a writer for Fox News Digital and Fox Business.
Two nearby ships responded to the incident and safely evacuated all 24 crew members but the Rubymar was left dead in the water, slowly taking on water as its cargo, fertilizer and fuel, spilled into the sea. CENTCOM called it an "environmental disaster." You can send tips to michael.dorgan@fox.com and follow him on Twitter @M_Dorgan.
