Tyrese Haliburton is lone hurdle Jalen Brunson hasn’t cleared — this is what it will take for Captain Clutch to conquer it
NY Post
Jalen Brunson has cleared almost every hurdle on this journey from No. 33 draft pick to toast of NYC. If not on the first opportunity, then the point guard gets over that bar on the second.
Or third.
Underestimating Brunson has been a perilous proposition. Forget about the accolades he wasn’t supposed to win (two All-Star appearances, two All-NBA selections), Brunson’s already bested the East guards supposedly greater than him in the playoffs — Jayson Tatum, Cade Cunningham, Donovan Mitchell.
But then there’s one always stubbornly in the way.

SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.
