Twitter ditching ‘Fleets’ feature, says few people used it
NY Post
Twitter is getting rid of its disappearing posts feature called Fleets because not enough people used it, the company said Wednesday.
Similar to Snapchat and Instagram’s “story” features, Fleets allow users to create posts that appeared in a bar at the top of the Twitter timeline and were automatically deleted after 24 hours. The feature, which was first introduced in November 2020, will be unavailable starting on Aug. 3, Twitter said.
The killing of Iran’s tyrannical Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on Saturday in an unprecedented joint military attack by the US and Israel called Operation Epic Fury set off widespread celebrations from Iranians around the world — as President Trump said it would give them their “greatest chance” to “take back the country.” Meanwhile, in Iran, a lack of internet has made it impossible for Iranians to easily communicate daily conditions.
