Madurai With the hospitality industry struggling to revive fortunes in the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) is planning a makeover to woo back customers. Following the launch of a drive-in restaurant and open air theatre at its property in Madurai in October last, the TTDC is looking at a similar facility at its Island Ground premises in Chennai.More Related News

Although students from Tamil Nadu remain the leading recipients of educational loans across India, there has been a significant decline in the number of active loans they hold. The number of active education loan accounts decreased from 27.4 lakh accounts to about 20.1 lakh in the period. The fall can be mostly attributed to the fall in Tamil Nadu’s numbers.
