TSX today: Composite edges lower in late-morning trading

Canada's main stock index edged lower in late-morning trading, led lower by losses in the utility and telecommunications sectors, while U.S. stock markets were mixed.
The S&P/TSX composite index was down 21.16 points (0.11 per cent) at 18,459.82.
In New York, the Dow Jones industrial average was down 158.91 points at 29,431.50. The S&P 500 index was down 11.07 points at 3,682.16, while the Nasdaq composite was up 43.14 points at 10,911.07.
The Canadian dollar traded for 73.09 cents US compared with 73.69 cents US on Friday.
