CNN
President Donald Trump was aware his vice president had been evacuated to a secure location as rioters stormed the US Capitol, according to a person who was with Trump on January 6.
And while Trump never attempted to contact Vice President Mike Pence directly, infuriating Pence's team, he did express concern for Pence to advisers gathered in the dining room off the Oval Office over the course of the afternoon, said Gen. Keith Kellogg, who was among the aides surrounding Trump. Kellogg's account comes amid conflicting reports of what the former President knew about the danger his vice president and members of Congress were in on January 6 and when he knew it.
A DHS spokesperson told CNN the lawmakers could be arrested, saying the department has “body camera footage of some of these members of Congress assaulting our ICE enforcement officers, including body slamming a female ICE officer.” The incident culminated in the detention of Newark Mayor Ras Baraka.

A key federal prosecutor in the classified documents case against President Donald Trump is expected to privately testify in front of the House Judiciary Committee in the coming days, a source familiar with the process told CNN.

A core group of top US officials — including Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State and interim national security adviser Marco Rubio, and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles — had been closely monitoring the escalating conflict between India and Pakistan when on Friday morning, the US received alarming intelligence, Trump administration officials told CNN.
