Fox News
President Trump visited three inaugural balls around Washington DC on Monday night, after a jam-packed first half-day in office as the 47th president.
The event is geared toward service members. Charles Creitz is a reporter for Fox News Digital.
For his first dance, Trump and first lady Melania Trump danced to a contemporary rendition of Julia Ward Howe’s 1861 Civil War anthem "Battle Hymn of the Republic." He joined Fox News in 2013 as a writer and production assistant.
The song was the clarion call of the Union Army of the Potomac – and the opposite number to the Confederate Army’s "Dixie." Charles covers media, politics and culture for Fox News Digital.
