Trump Campaign Memo Threatens Staff Over Critical Issue

"It jeopardizes not only the team, but also President Trump and Republicans up and down the ballot," the message read.
Donald Trump’s campaign sent an email to staffers warning them not to talk to the press ― and suggested their jobs were at stake.
In a memo obtained by media outlets on Wednesday, Trump co-campaign managers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles cautioned team members that loose lips could sink Republican candidates up and down the ballot, including Trump.
“You should not be independently speaking or communicating with any members of the press—on or off the record,” the message reads. “We have done a great job at preventing leaks, and that has been because everyone knows what the policy is and what we expect from everyone. Information is power—and the press doesn’t give a damn if you lose your job because you spoke out of school.”
“If just one of us goes off course, it jeopardizes not only the team, but also President Trump and Republicans up and down the ballot,” the message continued.
Tara Palmeri of Puck News surmised that “there must be a hot story in the works” for such a warning to be issued.
