Tropical Storm Ida has formed in the Caribbean Sea and confidence is growing that a potentially major hurricane could hit the United States by late this weekend or early next week.
Exactly where and when is still to be determined, with these details expected to come into better focus once the center of the system is located, perhaps later Thursday. "The center of the [storm] will pass near of over the Cayman Islands tonight, the Isle of Youth and Western Cuba Friday, and move over the southeastern and central Gulf of Mexico on Friday night and Saturday," the National Hurricane Center said.More Related News
