Traffic restrictions in Secunderabad from Saturday afternoon till night for Indira Mahila Shakthi programme

Hyderabad Traffic Police issues traffic advisory for Indira Mahila Shakthi-2025 event to be held at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad on Saturday, urging commuters to plan ahead for diversions.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory in view of the Indira Mahila Shakthi-2025 programme, scheduled to take place at Parade Ground, Secunderabad, on Saturday (March 8, 2025) to mark International Women’s Day.
Traffic restrictions and diversions will be in place from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. to ensure smooth movement and avoid congestion, according to the advisory.
Commuters were advised to avoid the route from Panjagutta – Greenlands – Begumpet – Secunderabad Parade Ground during the mentioned hours due to expected congestion. The road from Tivoli X-roads to Plaza X-roads may also be closed as per requirement. Traffic is likely to be affected at several key junctions, including Chilkalguda X Road, Patny X Road, Paradise Junction, and Rasoolpura Junction, among others. M.G. Road, R.P. Road, and S.D. Road should also be avoided during this period.
Passengers heading to Secunderabad Railway Station and Jubilee Bus Station were urged to start early to prevent delays and encouraged to use Metro Rail services.
Traffic diversions will be implemented as needed. Vehicles from Alugaddabavi and Secunderabad Railway Station will be diverted at Sangeeth X Road towards Clock Tower, Patny, and Paradise. Traffic from Tukaramgate will be rerouted at St. Johns Rotary towards Sangeeth, Clock Tower, Patny, and Paradise.
Vehicles from Sangeeth X Roads towards Begumpet will be redirected at YMCA towards Clock Tower, Patny, Paradise, CTO, Rasoolpura, and Begumpet. Traffic from Begumpet towards Sangeeth X Road will be diverted at CTO X Road towards Balamrai, Brook Bond, Tivoli, Sweekar Upkar, YMCA, St. Johns Rotary, and Sangeeth X Roads.
Vehicles from Bowenpally and Tadbund heading towards Tivoli will be diverted at Brook Bond towards CTO, Ranigunj, and Tank Bund. Traffic from Karkhana and Jubilee Bus Station towards SBH-Patny will be redirected at Sweekar Upkar towards YMCA, Clock Tower, Patny or towards Tivoli, Brooke Bond, Balamrai, and CTO. Vehicles from Patny will not be allowed towards SBH-Sweekar Upkar and will be diverted towards Clock Tower-YMCA or Paradise-CTO. Traffic from Trimulgherry, Karkhana, Malkajgiri, and Safilguda heading towards Plaza will be diverted at Tivoli towards Sweekar Upkar, YMCA, or Brook Bond, Balamrai, and CTO.
