
Trae Young kept trolling Knicks fans well after playoff heroics

Trae Young is embracing his role as the Garden’s newest villain.
The Hawks point guard trolled heckling New York fans after his game-winning floater secured the Hawks’ 107-105 win over the Knicks on Sunday night. Throughout the first round playoffs matchup, Young was met with “f–k you, Trae” chants from the 15,000 fans at MSG. “It got real quiet in there. They’re still yelling that, I don’t care. Next one, next one,” Young said walking back to the locker room, smiling, after stealing Game 1 — which marked his first career playoff game.
SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.

Wednesday was another positive day at Yankees camp. For the first time since March 6, 2025 — an outing in which he knew “something wasn’t right,” which began a weeks-long saga that ended on the operating table for Tommy John surgery — Gerrit Cole was back on a mound and facing hitters in game action.
