A 29-year-old Timmins man is charged with impaired driving in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 144 near Greater Sudbury that sent two children to hospital by air ambulance Saturday.

Emergency crews were called to an unincorporated territory near Elboga Lake north of Sudbury shortly before 1 p.m. May 11, Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release Monday.
"Three occupants, which included the driver and two children, were transported to the area hospital by Air Ornge," OPP said.
"The driver received serious, but non-life-threatening injuries while the children received minor injuries."
Following an investigation, the man was charged with two counts of dangerous operation causing bodily harm, operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs and having a blood alcohol concentration of more than 80 while operating a vehicle.
He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Sudbury court June 13.
His driver's license has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle is impounded for seven.
