Wicketkeeper-batsman Gary Stead is receiving treatment in India after testing positive for Covid-19. The Kolkata Knight Riders batsman was not able to head back home in the two chartered flights that flew New Zealand cricketers to Auckland.
New Zealand head coach Gary Stead is confident that Tim Seifert will be able to come out of the Covid-19 battle stronger. The Kolkata Knight Riders batsman is in quarantine in India after contracting the virus even as his New Zealand teammates have headed home after the suspension of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. Tim Seifert was not able to return home as two chartered flights were arranged to fly New Zealand players in IPL 2021 to Auckland. Test specialists, including captain Kane Williamson, headed to the Maldives from where they will be going to England to take part in a 2-Test series and the World Test Championship final in June.More Related News
