The Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organizations (FIAPO) urged the government to look into the cause of a wildfire that killed a tigress in Bandhavgarh National Park.
Following the death of a tigress due to fire in the Bandhavgarh National Park in Madhya Pradesh's Umaria district, the Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organizations (FIAPO) urged the government to investigate the matter and take necessary measures. The animal rights organisation reminded forest officials of their responsibility to the natural regeneration of the tiger reserve premises, constant engagement with the local communities living nearby that went beyond consultations and abiding love for the creatures who inhabited the reserve. ‘’Following the horrific incident, it is the responsibility of the government to take protective measures to save the tigers like bringing out guidelines of tiger safaris, reduce the pressure of the eco-tourism, protect habitats of the big cats and conserve its population,’’ said FIAPO.More Related News
