
This Dubai restaurant is using tech to stop seafood fraud

Fraudulent mislabeling of seafood is a widespread problem, but technology can help bring transparency to the seafood industry. In Dubai, beachfront restaurant Rockfish has partnered with online marketplace Seafood Souq to make sure their offerings are traceable and sustainable.
A 2019 study by conservation organization Oceana, conducted in the US, found that one in five fishes tested in restaurants and markets was mislabeled.
Consumers could be paying double the price for wild-caught salmon, but being served the farmed equivalent. Or they may think they're eating fresh-off-the-boat lobster, which has in reality been frozen for months.

Vivek Ramaswamy barreled into politics as a flame-thrower willing to offend just about anyone.
