Third man arrested in connection with Philadelphia inmates' escape
Fox News
Michael Abrams, 21, of Berwyn, Pennsylvania, has been charged in connection with the escapes of Philadelphia inmates Ameen Hurst and Nasir Grant.
Deputy Police Commissioner Frank Vanore told The Philadelphia Inquirer that investigators believe Abrams was "in communication with" the pair, who cut a hole in a recreation yard fence and fled from the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center. He described Abrams as an "associate" of Hurst, who is charged in four homicides.
Court documents indicate that Abrams was awaiting a preliminary hearing in a firearms and weapons case. No attorney was listed for him in the escape-related case. A message was left Monday for his attorney in the earlier case.
