Sean “Diddy” Combs’ racketeering and sex-trafficking trial continues into its third week. Follow for live updates.
• Happening now: The jury is taking a short break. When court resumes, Los Angeles arson investigator Lance Jimenez will continue testifying in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ racketeering and sex-trafficking trial. • Prosecutors will call two more witnesses today: They include one of Cassie Ventura’s friends and a woman called “Mia,” who is one of Combs’ former assistants and an alleged victim. Ventura — Combs’ former girlfriend and prosecutors’ star witness — testified earlier in the trial about the “Freak Offs,” or drug-fueled sex performances, she said Combs orchestrated. • Federal charges: Combs has pleaded not guilty to charges that include racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. If convicted on all counts, he could face up to life in prison. • Editor’s Note: If you or someone you know is struggling with intimate partner violence, there are resources available, including the National Domestic Violence Hotline. The jury is taking a 10-minute break. The bottle, cloth, and lighter were tested for DNA, but only the bottle returned results, arson investigator Lance Jimenez said.
