US President Joe Biden officially announced that the US will send 80 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines to other countries by the end of June. That's not enough to make up for the shortfall.
Now that data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) show that nearly half of the US population has received at least one dose and more than a third of the country is fully vaccinated, Biden said he wants the US to "lead the world with our values."

The man accused of placing two pipe bombs in Washington, DC, on the eve of the January 6, 2021, riot at the US Capitol told investigators after his arrest that he believed someone needed to “speak up” for people who believed the 2020 election was stolen and that he wanted to target the country’s political parties because they were “in charge,” prosecutors said Sunday.

Vivek Ramaswamy barreled into politics as a flame-thrower willing to offend just about anyone. He declared America was in a “cold cultural civil war,” denied the existence of white supremacists, and referred to one of his rivals as “corrupt.” Two years later, Ramaswamy says he wants to be “conservative without being combative.”
