Thane logs 155 new Covid-19 cases, zero deaths

Thane district recorded 155 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday, taking the state tally to 7,10,243. The mortality rate remained at 1.67 per cent with no death being reported.
On Wednesday, Thane district reported 155 new coronavirus, taking the total number of infections to 7,10,243 in Maharashtra, according to an official today. No fatalities have been reported, keeping the death toll of the district unchanged at 11,895 and the mortality rate of 1.67 per cent.
In the neighboring district of Palghar, the caseload stood at 1,63,612, another official said.
On Tuesday, Thane had reported 96 new Covid-19 cases while also reporting no deaths.
State capital Mumbai recorded a significant surge in the number of infections, with 739 fresh Covid-19 cases. The city’s daily positivity rate also touched 8.4 per cent, marking the sharpest jump in the last three months.
