Texas woman faces jail time after being convicted of voting illegally while on supervised release in 2016

Crystal Mason is still fighting a conviction of illegally voting when she cast a provisional ballot in the 2016 presidential election. Her vote was never counted.

But that uncounted ballot still led to a conviction and a five-year jail sentence, with that ruling still being appealed almost five years later.
