• Outrage mounts: Protests and vigils have occurred nationwide after an ICE agent fatally shot a woman in Minneapolis, deepening tensions over the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown. • Scrutiny over investigation: Amid calls for a transparent investigation, the FBI has taken over the probe, with a Minnesota agency saying it has been blocked from accessing key materials. View CNN’s video analysis of the incident here. • Portland shooting: In a separate incident, Oregon officials are investigating a shooting by Border Patrol agents in Portland that wounded a married couple in a vehicle. The couple is believed to be linked to a Venezuelan gang, and agents fired after the driver tried to run them over, DHS said. Renee Good, the 37-year-old woman fatally shot by an ICE agent in Minneapolis on Wednesday, is at least the fifth known person to die during immigration enforcement operations since President Donald Trump returned to the White House nearly a year ago, according to the Associated Press. CNN has reported on several of the deaths, including a man fleeing an immigration raid in southern California who died after running onto a freeway in August. A California farmworker also died last year after falling from a greenhouse during an ICE raid and a man was fatally shot during an ICE traffic stop after resisting arrest and dragging an officer, the Department of Homeland Security said.
