Tennessee GOP votes to remove Trump-backed Morgan Ortagus and two other congressional hopefuls from primary ballot

In a major blow to former President Donald Trump, the Tennessee Republican Party voted on Tuesday to boot three candidates from its primary ballot for the 5th Congressional District -- including Trump-endorsed hopeful Morgan Ortagus.
Along with Ortagus, who earned Trump's endorsement in the race earlier this year, congressional candidates Robby Starbuck and Baxter Lee were also removed from the ballot by the party's executive committee, according to a source briefed on the matter.

The two men killed as they floated holding onto their capsized boat in a secondary strike against a suspected drug vessel in early September did not appear to have radio or other communications devices, the top military official overseeing the strike told lawmakers on Thursday, according to two sources with direct knowledge of his congressional briefings.
