Temperatures in Telangana drop significantly from 45°C in April to 40.9°C on May 7, with thunderstorm alerts issued in various districts.
Temperatures across Telangana continue to drop significantly. From over 45°C in the fourth week of April, the highest temperature in the State dropped to 40.9°C on Wednesday (May 7, 2025). The change in mercury levels has been significant in the past few days, when thunderstorm alerts were issued to various districts.
The highest of 40.9°C was recorded in Nidamanoor of Nalgonda, followed by 40.7°C in Bheempur of Adilabad and Mugpal of Nizamabad, and 40.6°C in Gangadhara, Karimnagar and Ramagundam, Pedapalli, according to the data from Telangana Development Planning Society. Less than 40°C was recorded in 18 districts. The maximum temperature in Hyderabad was 39.0°C. It was 39.2°C in Medchal Malkajgiri and 39.7°C in Rangareddy.

Currently, only the services in the 32 series stop at the section of the road adjacent to the Broadway terminus, temporarily closed on account of reconstruction work. Small traders association tells R. Ragu that ensuring the services now accommodated at the temporary terminus at Island Grounds stop at NSC Bose road would benefit visitors to the markets in Parrys
