Telangana Transport Minister announces 2.5% DA for TSRTC employees, financial burden of ₹3.6 crore per month.
Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has announced a 2.5% of Dearness Allowance (DA) to Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) employees. He said on Friday (March 7, 2025) that this would entail financial burden of ₹3.6 crore per month on the corporation.
“After the Mahalakshmi Scheme was launched providing free bus rides for women, 14 lakh additional women passengers everyday are taking the public transport facility. Though the work pressure has increased, the employees have been working relentlessly,” said the Minister while making the announcement.
Around 150 crore zero tickets were issued, worth ₹5,000 crore. The State government reimburses the amount to the Corporation.
