Telangana Revenue officials to collect land issue applications from farmers from May 1, for resolutions through Bhu Bharati Act

Telangana Revenue department officials would visit villages to collect applications pertaining to land issues from farmers from May 1. Speaking at a meeting held to make people aware about the Telangana Bhu Bharati (Record of Rights) Act, and Bhu Bharati portal in Dharur mandal of Jogulamba Gadwal on Saturday (April 19, 2025), Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy said that around 26,000 applications related to lands transferred on the basis of Sada Bainama (agreements on plain paper) would be worked on.

The Bhu Bharati portal was launched on a pilot project basis in four mandals including Dharur. He said that people earlier had to run from pillar to post to get errors in names, survey numbers, extent of land in land records to be rectified. These issues would be addressed through the Act, said the Revenue Minister. Bhudhar Cards, on the lines of Aadhar card for people, would be issued.

Gadwal collector B.M. Santhosh said that people can approach tahsildar, revenue divisional officer (RDO) and collector for resolutions of land issues. 

Speaking at an awareness meeting held in Adilabad on Friday (April 18, 2025), the Minister said that of the 18 lakh acres under Part-B (prohibited list), six lakh to seven lakh acres are agricultural lands - issues pertaining to these would be resolved through Bhu Bharati Act. 

Nagakurnool MP Mallu Ravi, MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy and others were present at the meeting held in Dharur.
