An 18-year old man is facing two second degree murder charges in connection with the deaths of his family members in Brussels, Ont., south of Wingham.
Police released the identity of the victims Monday, saying Beverly Stevenson, 69, and Darwin Ducharme, 65, were found dead on their property last Wednesday.
The accused was arrested Saturday with the help of several police units. He was also charged with possession of property over $5,000 obtained by crime.
OPP Const. Jamie Stanely said police would not release the cause of death at this time, and he would not say if a weapon was used. He would also not clarify how the accused knew the victims, except to say that they were family members.
The teenager, who is from Morris-Turnberry, remains in custody. His next court appearance scheduled for Wednesday in Goderich.
Police continue to ask anyone with information to contact the Huron OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or (519) 482-1677.
