Team Qatar reaches Portugal ahead of European qualifiers

Doha: Qatar squad yesterday reached Portugal ahead of the 2022 World Cup European qualifiers against Portugal and Ireland.
Qatar will train in Portugal until October 7 before taking on the hosts Portugal two days later. The Felix Sanchez-coached men will then travel to Dublin where they face Ireland on the October 12.
The team will return to Doha on October 13. The national players, except for the quartet of Al Sadd, Al Duhail and Al Gharafa (Mohamed Waad, Youssef Abdul Razzaq, Salah Zakaria and Hommam Al Amin), will then join their respective clubs. The quartet will join the Qatar Olympic team which is gearing up for the Asian qualifiers for the AFC U-23 Cup finals.
