A 50-year-old man in Tamil Nadu’s Salem threw acid on his 47-year-old wife, suspecting her of having an extramarital affair. According to the police, Yesudas and Revathi were married 20 years ago and have three sons. In recent times, the couple would frequently get into bitter arguments, with Yesudas reportedly beating his wife over suspicions that she was engaging in an extramarital affair. On several occasions, their neighbours had to intervene to help Revathi.
