Fox News
Taliban fighters reportedly have captured their first provincial capital Friday since U.S. and NATO troops began pulling out of Afghanistan: the city of Zaranj in southern Nimroz province.

Michael Waltz points out that the troop withdrawal was not conditioned on Mark Frerichs release from custody, which is fueling concerns that the U.S. could lose bargaining power to get him home.
