Tension escalated at the Assam-Mizoram border on Saturday after a suspected crude bomb was recovered near an under-construction site in Khulicherra area in Assam’s Cachar district.

As per reports, locals found the suspicious object and immediately informed the police. A police team led by the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) rushed to the spot and recovered the object. A police official said the suspected bomb weighed around three kilograms.
