“The Daily Show” on Tuesday called out conservative double standards on the stock market.
A montage highlighted how right-wing figures change their rhetoric depending on market performance.
The Comedy Central program compiled clips of prominent conservatives — including President Donald Trump, Fox News host Sean Hannity and Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) — directly crediting Trump for market gains.
But the supercut also spliced in footage of the same people downplaying market declines as irrelevant to the economy.
