
Sudan’s army chief travels to Qatar for talks as conflict continues to rage in the African country

Gen. Abdel Fattah Burhan, the army chief of Sudan, has traveled to Qatar for diplomatic meetings as monthslong conflict between Sudan’s armed forces continues to rage.
Burhan planned to hold talks with Qatar's emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in the Qatari capital, Doha, according to the state-run SUNA news agency.
