Stunning new details reveal texts Jontay Porter allegedly sent bettors during Raptors games

Stunning new details emerged about Jontay Porter’s betting scandal.
Porter, the disgraced ex-NBA player, is banned from the league for life after an investigation found that he violated gambling rules by disclosing confidential information to sports bettors, limiting his participation in games for betting purposes and himself betting on games while with the Raptors last year.
But another individual, Shane Hennen, was arrested on Sunday in connection to Porter, according to the federal court filing obtained by The Post, which shed more light on just how involved Porter was.
During multiple Raptors games, according to the court filing, Porter was texting alleged coconspirators, who then sent screenshots of Porter’s texts to Hennen.
Porter, 25, gave the coconspirators information about his playing status and availability during the Raptors-Grizzlies game on Jan. 22, 2024, in at least four text messages, according to the filing.
Porter sustained a purported eye injury in the game.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.

Wednesday was another positive day at Yankees camp. For the first time since March 6, 2025 — an outing in which he knew “something wasn’t right,” which began a weeks-long saga that ended on the operating table for Tommy John surgery — Gerrit Cole was back on a mound and facing hitters in game action.
