The Centre's decision to cancel the CBSE Class 12 board exams this year was welcomed by states which said it was needed for the safety of students and teachers.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said the announcement has come as a big relief. "I am glad 12th exams have been cancelled. All of us were very worried about the health of our children.
