State charges dropped against Indiana woman accused of stabbing an Asian student in hate crime attack

A woman allegedly stabbed a Chinese American university student seven times in the head in Indiana. While she was charged with federal hate crime, her state charges were dropped.
Online court records show state charges of attempted murder, aggravated battery and battery by means of a deadly weapon were dismissed April 25. Davis had pleaded not guilty to the charges.
