Former Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan criticizes Tamil Nadu CM Stalin for frustration over AIADMK-BJP alliance, autonomy remarks.
BJP leader and former Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Saturday said Chief Minister M.K. Stalin had been showing signs of frustration ever since the alliance between the AIADMK and BJP was announced.
Responding to Mr. Stalin’s recent remark that “Tamil Nadu will never submit to Delhi’s administration and will always remain out of its control,” Dr. Tamilisai said: “No one asked you to submit to Delhi. But when Tamils were being massacred in Sri Lanka, it was by submitting to Delhi that you failed to act.”
Further, she criticised the Chief Minister for speaking about State autonomy and the need to move education back to the State List from the Concurrent List. “You were part of the ruling coalition at the Centre for nearly 16 years. Yet, you chose to remain silent,” she said.
Dr. Tamilisai also said Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had already clarified matters concerning delimitation and the three-language policy. “If you still don’t understand, there is nothing more they can do,” she said.
