In an attempt to clear the rush of passengers travelling for Holi festival, the Indian Railways is operating special trains between Visakhapatnam and SMV Bengaluru, and between Bhubaneswar and Cherlapalli.
In an attempt to clear the rush of passengers travelling for Holi festival, the Indian Railways is operating special trains between Visakhapatnam and SMV Bengaluru, and between Bhubaneswar and Cherlapalli.
A one-way special train from Banaras to Visakhapatnam, and from Azamgarh to Visakhatnam will also ply.
Train no. 08549Visakhapatnam–SMV Bengaluru Holi Special Express will leave Visakhapatnam at 3.30 p.m. on March 9, 16 and 23 (Sundays) and will reach SMV Bengaluru the next day at 12.45 p.m.
In the return direction, 08550 SMV Bengaluru–Visakhapatnam Express will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 3.50 p.m. on March 10, 17 and 24 (Mondays) and will arrive in Visakhapatnam the next day at 12.30 p.m., according to K. Saandeep, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Waltair Division.
The trains will halt at Duvvada, Anakapalli, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Perambur, Arakonam, Katpadi, Jolarpetai, Kuppam, Bangarpet and Krishnarajpuram.
These trains will have four II-tier AC, two III-tier AC economy, eight sleeper class coaches, four general second class, one second-class-cum-luggage/ Divyangjan and one motor car each.
Train no. 08479 Bhubaneswar–Cherlapalli Holi Special Express will leave Bhubaneswar at 12.10 p.m. on March 10, 17 and 24 (Mondays) and will reach Vizianagaram at 5.10 p.m. and departure at 5.20 p.m., reach Duvvada at 6.30 p.m. and depart at 6.32 p.m. and will reach Cherlapalli on Tuesday at 7.50 p.m.
