Doha, Qatar: The Speaker of the Shura Council, HE Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim met on Sunday with the President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Jordan, HE Faisal El-Fayez, who is visiting the country.

During the meeting, the Shura Council Speaker emphasized the deep ties that the two brotherly countries share, the high level of Qatari-Jordanian relations, and their continuous development across various fields, particularly in the parliamentary sphere.

HE Al Ghanim also affirmed the Shura Council's commitment to strengthening constructive cooperation and joint coordination with the Jordanian Senate, in a manner that fulfills the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples and serves their common interests.

For his part, the President of the Jordanian Senate commended the strong relations that unite the two brotherly countries and the ongoing cooperation between them in various fields.

His Excellency praised Qatar's regional and international role in supporting security and peace and promoting sustainable development through mediation efforts and a policy of dialogue. He reaffirmed his aspiration to expand parliamentary cooperation between the two countries and intensify consultations on issues of common interest.
