Some residents of an 18-unit apartment building in Summerside, P.E.I., were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries after a Saturday fire.
In a news release, the Summerside Fire Department said crews responded around 11:40 p.m. AT.
All residents of 14 Water St. were safely evacuated from the building.
The release did not say how many people were in the building at the time of the fire or how many were taken to hospital.
The fire was put out by 1 a.m. Sunday.
It's unclear what caused the fire, but an investigation is being carried out by the fire marshal's office.
The building will remain vacant during the investigation, the City of Summerside said.
