SO. CAROLINA LT GOV EVETTE: I will follow Trump's lead to protect our state with the 'Palmetto Pen'

In my state of South Carolina, we need a 'Palmetto Penitentiary,' a secure prison facility in to detain violent illegal immigrants

Consider this South Carolina's version of Alligator Alcatraz. It will send a clear message that our state is NOT and never will be a sanctuary for illegal immigrants.  Palmetto Pen will give law enforcement the tools they need to detain and hold these violent criminals safely. It will ease the burden on our local and state jails. It will act as a powerful deterrent. And most importantly, it will save lives.
