Six deaths, 533 Covid-19 cases in Qatar on May 8

Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today reported 533 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) and 1,023 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 200,467.

Out of 533 new cases, 342 are community cases and 191 from travellers returning from abroad. The ministry also announced deaths of six people aged 47, 56, 57, 76 and two of 53 years of age, taking the total death toll as of today to 502. All of them had chronic diseases and all of them received necessary medical care, MoPH said.
