An apple a day keeps the doctor away — but at this point medical bills might be cheaper.
A Boston-based influencer has sparked outrage over inflation after claiming she paid $7 for a single apple at a Whole Foods.
The woman, who goes by the username @via..li, posted a video about her pricey purchase to her page, which has since been re-shared on various social media platforms.
The clip has now been deleted from the shopper’s own account, but it showed her pulling out the apple from a bag after departing an unidentified Whole Foods store.
“Literally just did grocery shopping at Whole Foods and look at this,” she raged. “Guess how much this is. This is an apple, it’s called a Sugarbee f–king apple apparently and look at it.”
“The size of my palm. I thought it was like probably 2 to 3 dollars. I scanned this motherf–ker I scanned it — 7 f–king dollars, 7!”
