Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh told the ED that Shiv Sena leader Anil Parab provided him unofficial lists for the transfer of police officers.
Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on Wednesday told Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials that state minister and Shiv Sena leader Anil Parab provided him unofficial lists for the transfer of police officers.
Deshmukh, after being placed under judicial custody on November 2 last year under a money laundering case, was questioned by the ED officers investigating. When the second statement of Deshmukh was recorded, he was questioned by ED officers whether any lists were received by him for transfer and posting of police officers.
Deshmukh confirmed that as per his knowledge, he didn't think any other lists were received other than the list from Anil Parab who is the Transport Minister in the Maharashtra government.
Deshmukh also stated the lists received from Parab were unofficial and without any signatures on it.

The former minister further alleged that Parab could have received the list from the MLAs and MLC of his party Shiv Sena, which he then forwarded to him.
When asked by the ED officials whether the names mentioned in the list made it to the final official list issued by the government for transfer and postings, Deshmukh said that after receiving the lists he would hand it over to the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) to look into it personally and take appropriate action as per rules guidelines.
