Doha, Qatar: Chairperson of Qatar Foundation, HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser on Tuesday attended the inauguration of the Precision Medicine and the Future of Genomics Summit (PMFG 2025), at the Qatar National Convention Centre.
The three-day event is organised by Sidra Medicine. The opening ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Public Health Mansoor bin Ebrahim Al Mahmoud, Their Excellencies sheikhs and senior officials, and representatives from leading healthcare institutions and international academic bodies.
Speeches were delivered by Julia Vitarrello, founder and CEO of Mila's Miracle Foundation; and Professor Edison Liu from the Jackson Laboratory. The ceremony concluded with a keynote session on building a leading precision medicine sector in Qatar.
Sidra Medicine's Chief Research Officer Dr. Khalid Fakhro stated that as the PMFG marks its 11th anniversary, the institute continues to dedicate itself to advancing genomics, applied research, and practical applications in precision health.
